Registered Nurse

About the role

A hospital or clinic in Kuwait is looking for a registered nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care within the DDI framework. The nurse works in a multidisciplinary team, applying knowledge of human development stages and cultural diversity to patient care, and supports the mission and vision of the department. The closing date is 31 December 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Follow standards of care and the professional code of ethics, and take accountability for the patient, institution, profession and self
• Perform therapeutic skills and patient assessments that are problem-focused, consider age and culture, and protect privacy and confidentiality
• Validate competency in assigned and cross-trained areas, and assist physicians with procedures when needed
• Analyse assessment data, set priorities, contribute to the plan of care and evaluate patient outcomes
• Involve patients, families and healthcare providers in the plan of care, and give patient and family education and support
• Document data in the medical record according to institution standards, and ensure safe use of equipment and cost-effective use of supplies
• Apply infection control measures, personal protective equipment and radiation safety; provide basic life support and emergency measures, including advanced cardiac life support in specialty areas
• Maintain clinic inventory, replace expired medicines and supplies, and take part in quality improvement, accreditation and research projects
• Act as a preceptor, cross-train in other specialties, and take on extra assignments such as clinic registry and appointment lists

Required profile

• Nursing degree from a recognised school of nursing
• 3 years of experience in the nursing field
• Nursing licence issued by the Kuwait Ministry of Health
• Experience in diabetes management and care is a plus
• English and Arabic are a plus

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) optional
• Basic computer skills
