Registrar – Obstetrics & Gynecology

About the role

The Registrar of Obstetrics & Gynecology will provide safe, timely care across all hospital settings, including outpatient clinics, wards, labor rooms, and operating theatres. Working closely with senior consultants, the registrar ensures high‑quality clinical outcomes for mothers and women.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care in OPD, wards, labor rooms, and theatre, always under consultant supervision.
• Lead deliveries independently, handling routine and urgent cases while escalating high‑risk situations appropriately.
• Assist in surgical procedures such as laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, maintaining precision and patient safety.
• Guide patients through pre‑operative, operative, and post‑operative phases with compassion and clinical excellence.
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and compliant documentation for all clinical activities.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, audits, morbidity & mortality reviews, and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on OB/GYN experience after completing a Master’s degree.
• MBBS (or equivalent) plus a recognized Master’s in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Strong clinical judgment, resilience in challenging situations, and ability to manage obstetric emergencies.
• Proven experience in deliveries, outpatient care, and assisting in surgeries.
