About the role

We are seeking a Research Operations & Project Management Officer to support the coordination, documentation, and administrative execution of research projects across DDI. Reporting to the Acting ROPM Manager, you will ensure that project activities are carried out in line with institutional guidelines and timelines.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate day‑to‑day research operations and project management activities under the guidance of the Acting ROPM Manager.
  • Track research proposals and projects, maintaining accurate records, documentation, and dashboards.
  • Prepare progress reports, summaries, meeting minutes and action items to ensure quality reporting.
  • Support and update the project management platform, ensuring correct reporting and monitoring measures.
  • Track key performance indicators with Principal Investigators, focusing on milestones and projected completion dates.
  • Facilitate communication among research teams and administrative offices, acting as a liaison between the Research Sector and other DDI sectors.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for committees, board reviews, and internal/external meetings.
  • Assist in monitoring the Research Sector budget and ensure compliance with institutional policies.
  • Maintain organized digital and hard‑copy filing systems and support data‑archiving activities.
  • Contribute to updating project management templates, checklists, performance dashboards and tracking tools.
  • Support ROPM Specialists and departmental leadership as needed.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project coordination or research administration.
  • Strong organizational, communication and multitasking abilities.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Familiarity with tracking systems and workflow tools.
  • Basic knowledge of budgeting, operations and reporting processes.
  • Understanding of institutional research documentation requirements, compliance and quality control.
