About the role
The school seeks a dedicated Librarian to oversee library operations and enrich the learning environment. You will work closely with teachers and students to ensure the library supports the English National Curriculum and fosters a love of reading.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the library collection, budgeting, and technology resources.
- Develop and implement library policies and procedures, continuously evaluating the program.
- Support curriculum planning and align library resources with school events and the national curriculum.
- Coordinate and promote book fairs and other library‑based activities.
- Create engaging displays, bibliographies, and resource awareness initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor student volunteers, providing personal support and challenging activities.
- Assist teachers with media selection and ensure a safe, organized study environment.
Required profile
- Experience working in school libraries.
- Experience working with children.
