Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will join Gulf Group Co. in Shuwaikh on a full‑time, on‑site basis. You will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial accounting activities, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting the finance team across multiple business divisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Prepare and review month‑end closing entries, reconciliations, accruals, provisions and prepaid expenses.
• Maintain and reconcile inventory, fixed assets and related accounting transactions.
• Analyze revenue, costs and profitability across divisions and projects.
• Support project costing, work‑in‑progress (WIP) and revenue/cost recognition.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, budget variance analyses and supporting schedules.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, company policies and external audit requirements.
• Coordinate with Operations, Sales, Procurement and other departments for proper accounting treatment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 7–10 years of accounting experience, preferably in after‑sales, facility management, contracting or heavy equipment sectors.
• Professional accounting qualification or certification (CMA, ACCA or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
