Senior Assurance Manager

About the role

RSM in Kuwait is seeking a Senior Manager for its Assurance practice. The role will lead statutory audit engagements from planning through completion, working closely with audit teams and clients across various industries. This is an on‑site position based in Sharq, Kuwait.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and oversee statutory audit engagements across a portfolio of clients, in line with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Review audit working papers and financial statements prepared by the engagement team, and discuss findings with engagement partners.
• Supervise, coach and support audit managers, seniors and associates throughout the engagement cycle.
• Manage engagement budgets, timelines and resourcing to ensure audits are delivered within agreed plans.
• Maintain client relationships and act as the day‑to‑day point of contact for engagement matters.
• Monitor developments in IFRS, ISA and relevant industry regulations, applying them to engagement work.
• Identify audit and business risks and communicate them to engagement partners promptly.
• Support business development activities, including proposals and client meetings.
• Contribute to the training and professional development of audit staff.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience primarily in statutory audit.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Prior experience with a Big Four firm is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of IFRS and ISA.
• Experience managing audit teams and multiple concurrent engagements.
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
