Senior Buyer – Marketplace

About the role

The Senior Buyer – Marketplace will drive e‑commerce growth by onboarding and supporting small and medium‑sized businesses. You will own the performance of assigned categories, develop strategic seller partnerships, and solve complex business problems that have high impact on revenue and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the business owner for assigned categories, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting on performance.
• Develop and execute projects and promotions to meet business objectives.
• Analyze industry trends, seasonality, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
• Maximize profitability and expand product selection.
• Understand customer needs and advocate for site features that enhance the shopping experience.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and secure marketing funds.
• Create business plans for new opportunities and lead cross‑functional launch initiatives.
• Conduct financial analysis to exceed revenue and profit targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, engineering, business, or management.
• 5+ years senior‑level experience in retail (consumer electronics, sports, hobbies & travel, home & garden) with a proven results record.
• Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing, promotion, inventory management, and product development.
• Ability to own and manage a business P&L.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; comfortable with complex financial data.
• Excellent business acumen, communication skills, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Arabic language proficiency is a plus.
