Senior Contracts Engineer (Marine and Ports)

About the role

Egis is seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Engineer to lead contract management for a major port project in Kuwait. The role involves overseeing the full contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, and supporting project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, negotiate and manage complex contracts related to the port project.
• Oversee the entire contract lifecycle from initiation to closeout for multiple stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Implement and maintain effective contract management systems and processes.
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks, resolve disputes and claims promptly.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement and construction teams to meet project objectives.
• Prepare and analyse financial reports, forecasts and budgets linked to contract performance.
• Provide regular status updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in contract management for large‑scale construction projects.
• Extensive knowledge of international contract law and FIDIC contracts.
• Proven track record in managing complex contracts and resolving disputes.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership ability in a multicultural environment.
• Willingness to relocate to Kuwait for the project duration.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
