Senior Cybersecurity Engineer – Assessment & Authorization (A&A)

About the role

The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (A&A) will support the Cybersecurity Lead in protecting DoD information networks in Kuwait. You will lead the development, sustainment, and oversight of Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization packages for the USARCENT enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RMF A&A packages and System Security Documents.
• Manage Army Portfolio Management Systems (APMS) artifacts and make recommendations for Program Managed/Program of Record systems.
• Oversee portfolio items such as circuits, L3VPNs, SNAP, and GIAP approvals.
• Document A&A projects using the eMASS workflow platform.
• Conduct risk assessments, create System Security Plans (SSP) and POA&Ms, and guide security control implementation.
• Perform vulnerability and risk assessments with DISA’s ACAS suite.
• Provide guidance on cybersecurity policies, standards, and incident reporting.

Required profile

• 10+ years of hands‑on cybersecurity experience.
• Active Secret clearance and IAM Level III certification (CISSP, CISM, GSLC or CCISO).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
• Analytical mindset with a detail‑oriented approach.
