Senior Data Engineer – SQL & ETL Developer (Kuwait)

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS ETL development, and data warehousing within the banking sector. The role is based onsite in Kuwait and focuses on designing, building, and optimizing enterprise‑grade data solutions that meet business needs while ensuring performance, security, and data quality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, and table partitions in SQL Server.
• Design, test, debug, and deploy scalable ETL pipelines using SSIS.
• Translate complex business requirements into technical data models and ETL solutions.
• Validate ETL designs against business specifications and ensure data completeness.
• Monitor and tune database and ETL performance for large‑volume processing.
• Implement query optimization, indexing, and partitioning strategies.
• Design data quality checks and validation mechanisms.
• Support data‑warehousing, dimensional modeling, and data‑mining initiatives.
• Participate in database hosting, backup, maintenance, and optimization activities.
• Coordinate enterprise scheduling and batch‑process parameterization.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of experience in data engineering, preferably in the banking domain.
• Strong knowledge of banking areas such as customers, deposits, loans, cards, and wealth management.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2019+ and SSIS.
• Proven ability to design and implement dimensional models (star/snowflake schemas).
