Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

The Senior Financial Analyst will lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning for the organization. The role provides strategic financial guidance, performance analysis, and cost‑control recommendations to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the budgeting, forecasting and multi‑year financial planning processes.
• Build and maintain financial models, analyze data, and interpret financial statements to assess performance and value.
• Compare actual results to budget, identify variances and provide actionable insights.
• Oversee cost‑control initiatives, optimize expenses and monitor profitability.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, business cases, dashboards and presentations for management.
• Support strategic decisions such as M&A, investments and portfolio actions with rigorous financial analysis.
• Research market trends, evaluate investment opportunities and recommend actions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Professional qualification such as CA, CFA or CMA with at least 3 years of experience, or an Inter/Level 2 candidate with 8‑10 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a retail or multi‑entity environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP and Business Intelligence (BI) systems.
• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
• Financial modeling and budgeting expertise.
