Senior Pipeline Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Pipeline Infrastructure Engineer to lead technical oversight of major water, utility and infrastructure projects. The role involves supervising pipeline construction, installation, testing and commissioning to ensure safe, efficient delivery in line with project specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical supervision for pipeline installation, including transmission pipelines, valves, chambers and related infrastructure.
• Review engineering drawings, alignment plans, welding and jointing procedures, construction methodologies and contractor submissions.
• Monitor installation, inspection, testing, commissioning and performance verification activities for compliance with project requirements.
• Support hydrostatic and pressure testing, pipeline integrity assessments and acceptance testing processes.
• Oversee trenching, bedding, backfilling, reinstatement and other civil works associated with pipeline construction.
• Coordinate with contractors, utility stakeholders and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ensure adherence to specifications, standards, quality‑assurance and safety procedures.
• Maintain inspection records, technical documentation, defect registers and project reporting.
• Review as‑built documentation, completion records and handover deliverables.
• Provide expertise in troubleshooting, risk mitigation, construction planning and performance improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in pipeline infrastructure projects, preferably in water or utility sectors.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, quality‑assurance and safety requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent coordination skills with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
