Senior Podiatrist – Diabetic Foot Care

About the role

A Senior Podiatrist is needed to work with the Podiatry team and multi-disciplinary teams to provide clinical podiatry services and contribute to medical research. The role covers treatment of foot conditions related to diabetes, prevention programmes and home-treatment and self-help support. The closing date is 12 November 2026; English is required, Arabic is a plus.

Key responsibilities

• Continue developing and running a preventive diabetes foot care programme and formulate individual treatment plans.
• Provide consultancy on diabetes-related foot complications and collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team in their management.
• Carry out all interventions in line with evidence-based practice to meet patients' needs.
• Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to identify key research areas and develop research proposals.
• Write research proposals, present them to the ethics committee for approval, carry out research projects following strict ethical guidance, prepare final reports and submit manuscripts for publication.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years' experience as a diabetic podiatrist.
• Bachelor's, MSc or equivalent degree in Podiatry.
• Experience in research methods and techniques is advantageous.
• Good oral and written communication skills, basic computer skills and good conflict resolution skills.
• Able to work independently and as a team member in a large multidisciplinary group.
