Senior Presales Engineer - Cyber Security

About the role

The Senior Presales Engineer works with customers who have many different needs, and collaborates internally with account managers, salespeople, delivery experts and engineers. The role focuses on solving complex customer business requirements and designing large, outcome-driven transformations, using problem-solving and technical skills to build multi-dimensional solutions and long-term digital transformation roadmaps.

Key responsibilities

• Articulate the information security value proposition, integration potential, vision and strategy to customers and partners.
• Provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations and installation and maintenance of Symantec Security Solutions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to develop a cybersecurity strategy based on customer requirements.
• Differentiate and position Symantec product features, functions and best practices through presentations, demos, proofs of concept and health checks to influence purchase and renewal decisions.
• Develop end-to-end solutions covering consulting, professional services and implementation design.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders such as sales, product management, support and partners to drive customer success.
• Advise customers on product performance, including sizing, tuning and configuration, and recommend best practices.
• Help close complex opportunities as a technical advisor, deliver product briefings and assist in writing technical responses to RFIs and RFPs.
• Enable sales teams on value propositions, competitive differentiation and best practices.
• Use Salesforce CRM for lead, opportunity and deal registration.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience as a presales engineer in the cybersecurity domain.
