Senior QA/QC Mechanical Piping Lead Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA/QC Mechanical Piping Lead Engineer to oversee quality assurance and control activities for mechanical piping construction projects in the oil & gas sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review QC procedures, ITPs and ITRs for vendors and subcontractors.
• Witness and approve welder qualifications and conduct site/shop welding and coating inspections.
• Inspect material test certificates and perform receiving inspections for piping, structural steel, equipment and skids.
• Monitor welding activities against approved WPS and project specifications, including line walks and punch issuance.
• Review hydro‑test packages, witness tests, and coordinate corrective actions for NCRs and punch lists.
• Conduct audits of subcontractors and contractors, preparing audit reports.
• Update QC document lists, verify reinstatement of piping/equipment, and inspect insulation for hot and cold services.
• Perform internal inspections of equipment and vessels prior to fabrication stages and final MRB reviews.
• Support commissioning through pre‑commissioning inspections, SAT, line walks and final dossier preparation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 12‑15 years of experience in oil & gas QA/QC, including welding and coating inspection certifications.
• Ability to join immediately with transferable residency.
