Senior Specialist Registered Nurse

About the role

The Senior Specialist Registered Nurse provides expert nursing care and clinical guidance across specialized clinical areas. This senior position involves mentoring nursing staff, coordinating patient care plans, and driving continuous improvement in patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver specialized patient care and assess individual needs.
• Administer medications safely in line with DDI policy.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing records.
• Supervise and mentor senior and registered nurses.
• Assist in developing nursing policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Participate in audits, quality improvement projects, and research.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment and cost‑effective use of supplies.
• Comply with occupational health, safety, and infection‑control standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 8 years of clinical experience, including 3 years in a senior or specialized nursing role.
• Proven supervisory experience over senior and registered nurses.
• Ability to work in clinical environments with shift work.

Required skills

• Advanced clinical knowledge in specialty areas.
• Training and mentoring experience.
• Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English (preferred).
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office packages.
• Medication administration following DDI policy.
