Senior System Engineer – Microsoft Platform & Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Senior System Engineer – Microsoft Platform & Cloud Infrastructure Specialist with over 7 years of hands‑on experience leading enterprise‑scale Microsoft infrastructure and cloud transformation projects. The role will drive the design, implementation, and optimisation of both on‑premises and cloud solutions, ensuring reliability, performance and scalability of Microsoft systems. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to align IT infrastructure with organisational goals and maintain high standards of security and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, lead and govern enterprise‑grade Azure solutions, including hybrid and multi‑cloud strategies, landing zones, network architecture, governance and cost optimisation.
• Design and execute cloud adoption frameworks, readiness assessments and migration roadmaps for infrastructure and applications.
• Administer and optimise Active Directory, Azure AD, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management and Multi‑Factor Authentication.
• Lead rollout and lifecycle management of Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint and Power Platform.
• Implement Zero Trust Architecture using Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Intune, Purview and Endpoint Manager.
• Drive automation, infrastructure‑as‑code and CI/CD practices with PowerShell, Azure Automation, ARM templates and Bicep.
• Develop disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity strategies using Azure Site Recovery and backup solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing, implementing and managing Microsoft‑based enterprise infrastructure.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor staff on Microsoft best practices.
