Service Desk Administrator – IT Help Desk (Camp Arifjan)

About the role

The Service Desk Administrator provides front‑line customer service desk support at Camp Arifjan, handling computer, printer and network issues. The role requires quick decision‑making, detailed task management and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to in‑person, phone, ServiceNow and email requests, troubleshoot issues and create or route tickets.
• Provide immediate, person‑to‑person assistance and telephone support for initial troubleshooting.
• Manage user accounts, email accounts, print queues and network services using Microsoft Exchange, Server Manager and Cisco VMPS.
• Track and document all work performed for accurate reporting.
• Support the site Information Management Officer with daily computer, network and software management.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with an active Secret (or higher) clearance.
• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of service desk/help desk experience.
• Valid U.S. passport, driver’s license and ability to pass medical, dental and police checks.
• Must be able to complete CONUS Replacement Center training for overseas deployment.

Required skills

• ServiceNow ticketing system.
• Microsoft Windows operating systems (Army Gold Master/Universal Gold Master).
• Microsoft Office 2007 and Microsoft Exchange Server.
• Cisco networking administration (VMPS).
• Print queue management and user account provisioning.
