Smart City Solution Architect

About the role

We are seeking a senior Smart City Solution Architect to design and implement an integrated platform that connects diverse urban systems, sensors, and data sources. The role involves translating city‑level use cases into a secure, scalable, and interoperable architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Define a comprehensive smart‑city platform architecture, covering data flows, integration points, and technology stacks.
• Evaluate and select sensors, IoT platforms, cloud services, and analytics tools aligned with specific use cases such as traffic optimization, energy monitoring, and public safety.
• Collaborate with city officials, vendors, and engineering teams to document existing systems and design seamless integration, including legacy components.
• Develop data‑management frameworks for real‑time collection, storage, analysis, and visualization of large‑scale sensor data.
• Design and implement robust security and privacy controls to protect sensitive urban data.
• Produce architecture documents, interface designs, data‑flow diagrams, and security plans.
• Provide technical input on budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for smart‑city projects.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of IoT, data analytics, big‑data platforms, and AI/ML principles.
• Proven experience as a solution architect in the IoT or smart‑city domain with 10+ years of relevant work.
• Ability to design complex distributed systems with focus on scalability, performance, and resilience.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
