Software Quality Assurance Tester – Core Banking (Kuwait)

About the role

The Software Quality Assurance Tester will ensure the reliability and compliance of core banking applications and related digital channels. You will work closely with development, vendor and business teams to validate new releases, enhancements and patches before they go live.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, scenarios and test cases for new releases, system enhancements, patches and configuration changes.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, user‑acceptance and end‑to‑end testing of core banking modules (accounts, deposits, loans, payments, cards, treasury, trade finance, digital channels).
• Validate transaction processing, financial calculations, interest, fees, commissions, limits, exchange rates and accounting entries.
• Verify integration with external platforms such as payment gateways, SWIFT, ATM/POS, card management, mobile/internet banking, CRM, AML and regulatory reporting systems.
• Execute API, database, interface and batch‑processing validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Test daily, monthly, quarterly and year‑end banking processes, including End‑of‑Day and Beginning‑of‑Day operations.
• Track, prioritize and retest defects using approved defect‑management tools, coordinating with development and vendor teams.
• Prepare test execution reports, defect summaries, test coverage and release‑readiness assessments for management review.
