Sourcing Specialist – Supplier Management & Procurement

About the role

The Sourcing Specialist will develop and execute sourcing strategies for an assigned portfolio, ensuring optimal supplier performance in cost, quality, and lead time while supporting the business plan of the GeoUnit.

Key responsibilities

• Implement sourcing plans and tactics to meet quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Document action‑plan performance and timelines for sourcing projects.
• Select high‑performance suppliers from preferred lists defined by Category Managers.
• Conduct RFI, quotation, proposal and bidding processes to minimize risk and maximize value.
• Evaluate current and prospective suppliers through reviews, site visits and audits in coordination with Supplier Quality teams.
• Negotiate prices and terms to achieve specified quality, delivery and cost objectives.
• Execute contract negotiations and development with the Sourcing Manager and Contract Specialists.
• Drive parts and process qualification alongside Supplier Quality teams.
• Collaborate with Sourcing leadership to guarantee supply continuity.
• Identify and implement actions to reduce waste of time, money and resources.
• Ensure compliance with Schlumberger and local procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sourcing, procurement or supplier management.
• Strong ability to evaluate and audit suppliers.
• Effective negotiation skills with suppliers.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams, including Supplier Quality and Contract specialists.
• Knowledge of contract development and supplier qualification processes.
• Commitment to procedural compliance and continuous improvement.
