Store & Inventory Controller (Food & Beverages)

About the role

The company is seeking a dedicated Store & Inventory Controller to manage all inventory activities for its food and beverage operations. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate stock records, proper handling of perishable items, and smooth coordination between the store, central kitchen, production areas, and branches.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an inventory‑control system, including item coding, classification, storage locations, and units of measurement.
• Receive and verify raw materials, packaging, and supplies against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.
• Inspect quantities, quality, batch numbers, production and expiry dates; reject non‑compliant items.
• Apply FEFO for perishable products and FIFO where appropriate; record all stock movements accurately.
• Conduct daily, periodic and surprise physical counts, reconcile discrepancies and produce variance reports.
• Monitor minimum/maximum stock levels, issue alerts and coordinate replenishment with Purchasing.
• Track slow‑moving, near‑expiry and damaged goods; record refrigerator and freezer temperatures.
• Maintain store cleanliness, labeling, and food‑safety standards; prevent unauthorized stock movements.

Required profile

• At least four years of experience in store or inventory control, preferably in food, restaurant or central‑kitchen environments.
• Proven handling of chilled, frozen, sensitive and perishable products.
• Strong knowledge of FEFO, FIFO, expiry control, batch tracking, item coding and classification.
• Hands‑on experience with inventory‑management systems and ability to set up a system from scratch.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Excellent command of English; Arabic is a plus.
• High accuracy, integrity, attention to detail and physical ability to perform store duties.
• Valid transferable residency in Kuwait and immediate or short‑notice availability.
