Store Manager – Hypermarket

About the role

The Store Manager will lead the Hypermarket in Kuwait, overseeing all daily operations to drive sales growth, profitability and an excellent customer experience. Reporting to senior retail leadership, the manager ensures the store meets company standards and commercial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute operational and commercial strategies aligned with Majid Al Futtaim objectives.
• Drive sales, profitability and cost control while staying within approved budgets.
• Monitor commercial performance using data analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee inventory management, stock availability, replenishment and shrinkage reduction.
• Ensure pricing, promotions and merchandising follow company guidelines.
• Maintain high standards of customer service, store presentation, hygiene, safety and security.
• Coach, develop and manage department managers and store teams, supporting succession planning.
• Guarantee compliance with company policies, operational procedures, health & safety and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of retail operations experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role within hypermarkets or large‑format retail.
• Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of driving sales and profitability.
• Excellent leadership, people management and team development capabilities.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Effective communication, stakeholder management and organizational skills.
