Student Wellbeing Manager

About the role

The Student Wellbeing Manager leads the university’s initiatives that promote mental health, emotional resilience and overall wellness for students. Reporting to the Director of Student Affairs, the role ensures a supportive, inclusive campus environment that enhances student success and retention.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Student Wellbeing Office and related programmes.
• Supervise the Mental Health Counsellor, providing coaching, guidance and professional support.
• Develop and implement comprehensive wellbeing strategies, workshops, seminars and wellness events.
• Establish policies, procedures and operational standards for counselling and wellbeing services.
• Coordinate awareness campaigns, preventative education initiatives and crisis‑intervention protocols.
• Oversee counselling and referral services for students facing personal, emotional, psychological or academic challenges.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in student wellbeing, mental health services or related fields.
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
• Strong ability to develop policies, programmes and operational standards.
• Experience in crisis intervention, counselling administration and student support services.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
