Team Leader LHH - Hypermarket Retail

About the role

The Team Leader LHH at a Majid Al Futtaim hypermarket in Kuwait is responsible for applying quality, range and freshness standards to deliver an excellent customer experience and meet sales targets. The role also involves coaching and developing the team, and acting as a motivator who addresses problems quickly so they do not affect customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and implement the commercial policy agreed for store pricing.
• Oversee the product assortment in the section.
• Negotiate internal promotions with suppliers to reinforce the discount image in the Promo-Book.
• Monitor the NPS in the section and work on improving areas that need development.
• Ensure proper stock management: prepare stock reports, track stock value, control out-of-stock situations, place replenishment orders and manage merchandise deliveries.
• Drive initiatives to keep waste and shrinkage low, and control the waste items report.
• Identify slow-moving items and stock nearing expiry to help move them before expiry.
• Manage displays so that pricing and the Plano-gram are always correct.

Required profile

• Diploma in Commerce or Finance.
• 3+ years of experience in a retail operations role.
• Pleasant and warm disposition with a customer service orientation.
• Clear communicator, people-oriented and able to build team spirit and motivation.
• Detail-oriented.
