Trade Marketing Officer

About the role

The Trade Marketing Officer will ensure that the company's premium food products, displays, promotions and point‑of‑sale materials are consistently and effectively presented across assigned retail outlets in Kuwait. This field‑based position combines retail execution, merchandising compliance, sales performance monitoring and market intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular field visits to monitor product availability, positioning, planograms, stock levels and display standards.
• Ensure promotional activities, pricing and communication materials are implemented accurately and on time.
• Inspect POS materials and display stands, identify execution gaps and follow up on corrective actions.
• Support new product launches, listings, displays and promotional visibility.
• Track outlet‑ and category‑level sales performance and investigate factors affecting results.
• Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, launches, shelf space and merchandising activities.
• Prepare field visit reports with photographs, findings and recommendations.
• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Warehouse and Merchandising teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
• 5‑10 years of experience in trade marketing, merchandising or retail sales execution within FMCG.
• Valid Kuwait driving licence and willingness to travel daily between retail outlets.
• Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of planograms, merchandising standards, promotions and POSM management.
• Ability to interpret sales and market data to identify performance drivers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP or merchandising monitoring applications.
