Urgent Billing Accountant – 6 Month Temporary Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Billing Accountant for a six‑month contract to support our finance team. The role focuses on timely invoice preparation, recurring billing, and resolving billing issues with customers and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue customer invoices immediately after service delivery.
• Process recurring billings, reconcile accounts, and coordinate with customers to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Handle cash and check deposits, follow up on returned checks, and maintain vendor account records.
• Verify goods receipt vouchers (GRVs) against purchase orders, process supplier payments, and ensure proper cost allocation in the GP system.
• Manage advance payments, prepaid expenses, and payroll‑related payments through the HRMS.
• Reconcile bank accounts, prepare monthly aging and billing reconciliation reports, and support internal and external auditors during period‑end closing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in billing, accounts payable/receivable, or similar finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of bank statement preparation, daily bank closing, and financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the GP accounting system.
• Experience using HRMS for payroll and staff payments.
