Urgent Hiring: Senior Industrial Hygiene & Health Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a senior professional to lead industrial hygiene and occupational health activities for a major KOC project in Ahmadi, Kuwait. The role involves overseeing health risk assessments, environmental monitoring and compliance with local and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct occupational health and safety audits across project sites.
• Perform site, impact and treatability assessments, including indoor air quality and microbial investigations.
• Design and implement workplace environmental monitoring programmes (noise, heat/cold stress, dust, toxic and flammable substances, radiation, ergonomics).
• Develop job hazard analyses, health risk assessments and environmental health impact assessments.
• Manage public health programs, epidemiological surveillance and statistical analysis.
• Prepare occupational hygiene surveys, reports and risk registers linked to company medical centres.
• Ensure compliance with OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, ILO conventions, Kuwait Labour Law and other relevant standards.
• Provide training, mentoring and strategic planning for occupational health resources.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Chemistry, Physics or related science, or Bachelor’s in Engineering/Science.
• Valid occupational health or industrial hygiene certification (CIH, ROH or NEBOSH Diploma).
• Minimum 18 years of relevant experience in occupational health, safety audits and environmental monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of national and international regulations and standards.
• Ability to work on a transferable visa in Kuwait.
