Vice President for Enrollment & Student Affairs

About the role

American International University (AIU), a private English-taught university in Kuwait founded in 2019, is seeking a Vice President for Enrollment & Student Affairs. Reporting to the President, the VP provides executive leadership for the Enrollment & Student Affairs Division, which covers admissions, enrollment, registration, student affairs, engagement, student care, athletics and student well-being. The role advises the President on enrollment trends, retention risks, regulatory matters and capacity needs, and works closely with Academic Affairs and the Schools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run a multi-year strategic enrollment management plan, set annual and multi-year enrollment targets with KPIs, and lead forecasting, scenario planning, market and competitor analysis.
• Oversee the recruitment funnel from enquiry to enrollment, develop yield and conversion strategies for Kuwait and the region, and provide the President with regular enrollment dashboards.
• Lead Admissions & Student Recruitment, ensuring fair, transparent and compliant processes, and strengthen domestic and international recruitment through partnerships, events and digital channels.
• Provide executive oversight of Registration & Systems Analytics, align registration demand with course availability, monitor waitlists and progression risks, and work with the CIO to improve Banner/ERP, CRM and dashboards.
• Lead Student Affairs, including engagement, clubs, events, athletics, well-being and counselling, and oversee student conduct and case management.
• Partner with Academic Affairs on retention, persistence and graduation strategies, early alert, and withdrawal and re-enrollment trends.
• Ensure compliance with Kuwait regulations, PUC requirements and accreditation expectations.
