Aircraft Ground Equipment Mechanic – Deployment Pool

About the role

The Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE) Mechanic in the Deployment Pool provides essential maintenance and support for ground support equipment and light support vehicles across various CONUS and OCONUS locations. The role ensures equipment readiness for aircraft maintenance and flight operations while adhering to safety and technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AGE and tow vehicles, including fuel, oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid, and air servicing.
• Inspect, test, and operate equipment to verify serviceability and proper operation.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical circuitry malfunctions using test equipment and technical publications.
• Disassemble, repair, clean, treat for corrosion, and reassemble components; stencil and mark equipment per technical orders.
• Prepare equipment for storage, mobility, and deployment; operate and service tow vehicles.
• Maintain accurate paper and electronic equipment records and provide dispatch support for equipment positioning.
• Handle, label, store, and dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Follow safety procedures, tool control, and foreign object damage prevention at all times.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or completion of relevant military or vocational technical training.
• Flexibility to support deployment schedules and travel to various locations.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical orders.
• Commitment to safety, housekeeping, and adherence to technical standards.
