Cashier

About the role

The Cashier ensures smooth, efficient, honest and accurate payment handling for customers. You will greet shoppers, manage cash and card transactions, sell gift and Telly cards, and guide customers to the delivery area while explaining refund and exchange policies.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers with a friendly attitude and maintain a presentable appearance.
• Process cash, credit/debit card, voucher and coupon payments using the POS terminal.
• Sell and promote gift cards, Telly cards and warranty programs.
• Maintain a clean and tidy cash desk and packing area.
• Balance cash drawer and reconcile sales at the end of each shift.
• Provide accurate product information, handle packing assistance, and ensure customers understand return and exchange policies.
• Update customer information and forward invoices via email when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 + year experience in a retail or cashier role.
• Good command of English and strong communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree (any field).

Required skills

• POS terminal operation.
• Cash handling and transaction reconciliation.
• Basic computer application proficiency for payment finalisation.
