Chief Financial Officer

About the role

ZAD, a fast‑growing Kuwaiti fintech regulated by the Capital Markets Authority, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will own the financial health, integrity and strategy of the company as it expands its platform and prepares for a Kuwait Stock Exchange launch.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own ZAD’s financial strategy aligned with growth ambitions.
• Serve as the primary financial voice on the executive team, influencing major business decisions.
• Lead financial planning, long‑range modelling, budgeting and capital allocation.
• Build, scale and lead a high‑performing finance function.
• Maintain full compliance with Capital Markets Authority reporting obligations and oversee all regulatory filings.
• Manage relationships with the CMA, external auditors, legal counsel and regulatory advisors.
• Oversee treasury, cash management, banking relationships and internal control environment.
• Monitor risk exposures across liquidity, currency, credit and operational finance.
• Lead investor‑relations activities and support fundraising, M&A and partnership initiatives.

Required profile

• Deep technical finance expertise with a proven track record of building scalable finance functions.
• Strong commercial instincts and executive presence to influence senior‑level decisions.
• Comprehensive understanding of capital markets and current Kuwaiti regulatory requirements.
• Experience in a regulated fintech environment is highly desirable.
