Engineering Technician III – Quality Manager

About the role

The Engineering Technician III, Quality Manager, will lead the quality system for the KAF Metrology Program, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 and delivering a robust QA/QC framework across the laboratory.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage the overall quality system for the KAF Metrology Program.
• Perform quarterly trend analysis and maintain the laboratory quality manual using KAF directives.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce a comprehensive QA program aligned with ISO 17025.
• Design and oversee a Quality Control program that guarantees high‑quality output from all sections.
• Coordinate with KAF management, QA staff, laboratory supervisors, inspectors, and production control personnel to resolve issues.
• Establish QA procedures for laboratory facilities, environmental control, and equipment maintenance.
• Support the Metrology Engineering Department in developing primary standards capabilities.
• Provide QA training and guidance for complex precision measurement equipment used in GOK activities.

Required profile

• Associate degree in engineering, engineering technology, physics or related field (accredited) with at least 10 years of field experience, OR completion of a U.S. military precision measurement and calibration program with 12 years of calibration experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of calibration laboratory compliance and accreditation to ISO 17025.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
