Finance Director

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Finance Director to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing joint‑venture operating in the data centre, infrastructure and EPC sectors. Reporting to the CEO and Board, you will ensure that projects meet revenue, profitability, cash‑flow and return targets while maintaining robust governance and risk controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, business planning, forecasting and rolling financial forecasts.
• Translate the project pipeline into revenue, profitability, working‑capital, cash‑flow and funding requirements.
• Provide accurate financial analysis, reporting and recommendations to the CEO and Board.
• Establish and maintain financial policies, internal controls and delegated authorities.
• Maintain full financial control over projects from tender through final account, including budgets, cost‑to‑complete forecasts, margins and profitability.
• Monitor milestone billing, collections, receivables, retentions and unbilled revenue.
• Manage working capital, treasury, banking relationships, project funding, guarantees, performance bonds and letters of credit.
• Review commercial terms of bids, contracts and sub‑contracts and support negotiations.
• Oversee monthly closing, management accounts, statutory reporting, audits and compliance.
• Build and lead a high‑performing finance and project‑controls team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
• Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, ACA, CMA) strongly preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
• Proven experience in EPC, construction, infrastructure, data‑centre or similar project‑based environments.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 15, project accounting and profitability analysis.
