General Manager – Kuwait

About the role

Tabby, the leading shopping and payments platform in the GCC, is launching its operations in Kuwait. As the founding General Manager you will be responsible for turning a licensed entity into a fully regulated, on‑shore business and driving its growth from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all interactions with the Central Bank of Kuwait, including registration, licensing, inspections and ongoing supervisory dialogue.
• Establish Tabby Payments K.S.C.C. as a fully operating local entity with its own compliance, operations and governance frameworks.
• Own the Kuwait market’s commercial performance – merchant acquisition and retention, banking and payments partnerships, local marketing and customer growth.
• Manage the local P&L and align with group product, credit, risk, treasury and legal functions.
• Build and scale the local team, defining hiring plans and controlling the cost base.
• Define and prioritize the market product roadmap in coordination with the group product team.
• Represent Tabby externally with banks, merchants, partners and regulators.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in a general management or senior commercial role with full P&L responsibility.
• Proven track record of launching or scaling a regulated financial services business.
• Strong knowledge of fintech, payments and consumer finance ecosystems.
