Head Chef – Research & Development (Kuwait)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef – Research & Development to lead culinary innovation for a leading restaurant group in Kuwait. The role combines creative product development with rigorous quality and safety standards to deliver new menu concepts at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation of innovative food products and concepts aligned with market trends.
• Research emerging food trends, assess commercial viability, and develop prototypes.
• Standardize recipes for mass production while ensuring consistency and quality.
• Prepare detailed recipe cards, shelf‑life documentation, and audit reports.
• Coordinate with the Central Production Unit and branch kitchens to implement standardized processes.
• Conduct culinary audits, branch training, and post‑launch recipe evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Collect operational feedback, track KPIs, and participate in monthly improvement meetings.
• Mentor and manage the culinary R&D team, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary recipes.

Required profile

• Minimum 7–8 years of experience in culinary research and development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Catering Science, Culinary Arts or a related field.
• Proven track record of launching successful food products in a restaurant environment.
