Housing Manager

About the role

The Housing Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the staff dormitory, ensuring a safe, clean, and well‑maintained living environment for employees. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the role combines facilities management with HR policy enforcement.

Key responsibilities

• Assign rooms to staff on check‑in day, issue keys and linens, and manage check‑out clearance.
• Inspect dormitory public areas and staff rooms daily, schedule regular cleanliness inspections, and coordinate pest‑control services.
• Enforce dormitory rules, handle disciplinary issues, and educate employees on policies.
• Maintain fire‑equipment checks, organize fire drills, and keep records of safety inspections.
• Manage visitor policy, track contract terms, and report any deviations.
• Prepare duty rosters, maintain inventory of linens, chemicals, and furniture, and coordinate with laundry services.
• Collect employee feedback, participate in progressive discipline procedures, and support HR initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 3 years of experience in human resources, operations management, or a related field, OR an associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently while coordinating with contractors and internal teams.
