HSE Engineer / Safety Officer – Kuwait City

About the role

The role is to implement the Health, Safety and Environmental Plan (HSEP) for a heavy civil/industrial EPC project in Kuwait, ensuring zero lost‑time incidents and full compliance with local EPA and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate site‑specific HSE Management, Emergency Response and Waste Management Plans.
• Conduct Job Hazard Analyses, risk assessments and manage Permit‑to‑Work systems for hot work, lifting, deep trenching and confined‑space entry.
• Supervise Site/Safety Controllers, lead daily toolbox talks and mandatory inductions, and investigate incidents.
• Maintain environmental controls including dust suppression, hazardous chemical storage, noise monitoring and dewatering discharge permits.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Engineering (Environmental, Civil, Mechanical or Chemical) with a safety diploma.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent, OSHA 30‑Hour Construction, IOSH Managing Safely certifications.
• Minimum 10 years HSE experience on heavy civil/industrial EPC projects, at least 5 years in the Middle East/Kuwait.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an asset.
