Internal Auditor

About the role

We are looking for an Internal Auditor to join AlTijaria Group, a leading commercial real‑estate company in Kuwait. The role will lead audit engagements from planning through reporting, ensuring compliance with internal policies and Sharia‑compliant financial practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop audit plans, including business understanding, risk identification and work programmes for assigned areas.
• Execute field work – gather information, perform sampling, testing and document evidence in a clear, organized manner.
• Coordinate field work schedules with departments, monitor progress and flag delays to audit management.
• Validate initial findings with operational supervisors and draft audit reports that address root causes and recommendations.
• Track implementation of corrective actions from prior audits and provide status updates.
• Maintain adherence to the core ethical values of internal audit: integrity, objectivity, confidentiality and competency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
• 4–6 years of professional experience in internal audit and risk management.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA or ACCA are a plus.
• Experience in the real‑estate or investment sector in the Gulf region is advantageous.

Required skills

• Financial audit techniques and audit methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
• Ability to prepare and review detailed audit reports.
• Familiarity with Islamic finance principles and Sharia‑compliant practices.
