Internal Control Manager

About the role

The Internal Control Manager will design, implement and monitor Gissah’s internal control framework, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. You will lead risk assessments, internal audits and drive continuous improvement across all business units.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update internal control policies and procedures to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.
• Assess business processes, identify control weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.
• Plan and execute internal audits covering financial, operational and compliance functions.
• Conduct risk assessments, pinpoint high‑risk areas and design preventive controls.
• Investigate control failures, prepare audit findings and monitor remediation progress.
• Prepare regular internal control reports for management review.
• Collaborate with finance, supply chain, HR and other departments to strengthen the control environment.
• Deliver training and awareness sessions on compliance and internal control best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in internal control, internal audit, risk management or compliance roles.
• Strong knowledge of corporate control frameworks, audit processes and risk assessment methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, investigative and reporting abilities with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication and leadership skills to work with cross‑functional teams and senior management.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and a problem‑solving mindset.
