Lead Construction Engineer – Site Construction Manager

About the role

Worley is seeking a Lead Construction Engineer to oversee site construction and completions across PMC projects. The role ensures design integrity, drives technical involvement, and manages execution in line with field contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Promote construction participation in technical design, scheduling, execution planning, and cost estimating.
• Maintain awareness of capabilities and workload of construction support providers and contractors.
• Lead all construction and completions personnel, ensuring technical competence.
• Forecast and allocate construction engineering resources.
• Prepare man‑hour estimates and weekly progress and expenditure reports.
• Drive cost‑reduction and productivity‑enhancing initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years total experience, with at least 5 years in oil & gas, refinery or petrochemical sectors.
• At least 5 years recent experience as a Lead Construction Engineer or equivalent.
• Proven team‑leadership track record.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks.

Required skills

• Management of heavy‑lifting equipment and large earth‑moving activities.
• Pre‑commissioning, commissioning and performance testing.
• Specification, evaluation and documentation of equipment.
