Planning Engineer – Maintenance & Shutdown

About the role

Anton Oilfield Services Group is seeking a Planning Engineer to lead maintenance planning activities for its operations in Kuwait. The role focuses on developing efficient maintenance processes, coordinating shutdowns, and ensuring equipment reliability across mechanical, electrical and instrumentation assets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance planning processes to support efficient project execution.
• Establish and optimise manpower planning and resource allocation for maintenance activities.
• Monitor and report maintenance costs, work progress and overall performance.
• Identify and recommend spare parts, special tools and equipment required for maintenance activities.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate planned shutdown activities.
• Track maintenance schedules, shutdown progress and prepare related reports.
• Coordinate planning activities to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement of maintenance planning and preventive maintenance programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in maintenance of mechanical, electrical or instrumentation equipment within the oil & gas or industrial sector.
• At least 5 years in a maintenance planning or supervisory role.
• Strong experience in preventive maintenance planning for static and rotating equipment.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, shutdown coordination and resource management.
• Understanding of maintenance reporting, cost control and performance monitoring.
• Excellent analytical, planning, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with maintenance planning systems and standard computer applications.
