Risk Management Specialist

About the role

The Risk Management Specialist will own the hospital‑wide risk management program, ensuring compliance with JCI and Ministry of Health standards while driving a culture of safety across all clinical and operational areas.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Hospital‑Wide Risk Management Program and maintain ongoing compliance with JCI and MOH standards.
• Lead Incident & Event Management by overseeing investigations of adverse events and near‑misses, conducting root‑cause analysis, and ensuring effective corrective actions.
• Promote a Culture of Safety through awareness campaigns, risk education sessions, and hospital‑wide staff safety surveys.
• Inform decisions with data by managing the risk register and delivering regular, data‑driven reports to leadership.
• Champion improvement by partnering with medical and operations teams to apply quality improvement tools such as FMEA and FOCUS‑PDCA.
• Manage case review follow‑ups, conduct initial reviews, ensure recommendations are implemented, and provide progress reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred) or a related medical/health field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in hospital or clinical risk management.
• Strong knowledge of patient safety, incident reporting protocols, and JCI standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for data analysis and reporting.
• Data‑driven mindset and collaborative spirit to champion hospital‑wide safety initiatives.
• Resilience, adaptability, and accountability in a dynamic healthcare environment.
