RPA Munitions Technician – Deployment Pool

About the role

This position is part of the Deployment Pool supporting Remote Piloted Aircraft (RPA) munitions operations across CONUS and OCONUS locations. The technician will travel as needed to assemble, maintain, and demilitarize a variety of aircraft weapons, ensuring readiness for mission‑critical deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble, renovate, transport, load, deactivate, modify, destroy, and handle missiles, precision weapons, and gravity bombs.
• Perform installation, configuration changes, repair, and adjustment of aircraft armament systems and components.
• Execute maintenance modifications, destruction, and demilitarization of ammunition and explosive components.
• Operate computer hardware, software utilities, and manual records for stock control and accounting.
• Inspect bomb release systems and missile launchers to determine repair or destruction requirements.
• Support weapons loading, armament system certification, and related safety courses.
• Provide technical input on weapons management, inventory, and maintenance to supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent military/vocational training.
• Minimum one year of hands‑on aircraft munitions or weapons maintenance experience.
• Completion of USAF Munitions/Weapons Tech School or DoD equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of technical publications related to aircraft maintenance.
