Sales Associate

About the role

The Sales Associate will represent the brand in a retail environment, delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales through product knowledge and a friendly approach. Working on the shop floor, you will assist shoppers, promote the loyalty programme and ensure a pleasant shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, understand their needs, recommend suitable products and convert browsers into buyers.
• Promote and enrol customers in the Club Apparel Loyalty Program to encourage repeat business.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards, arrange stock according to layout guidelines and ensure product displays are attractive.
• Handle point‑of‑sale transactions, process cash, card, voucher and automatic debit payments accurately.
• Manage cash‑till operations, issue receipts, refunds and change, and reconcile tills at shift start and end.
• Record inventory movements, update stock reports and support loss‑prevention procedures.
• Adhere to store SOPs, security policies and confidentiality requirements.
• Work flexible shifts, including extended hours during sales periods and overtime as needed.

Required profile

• Presentable, well‑groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Strong product knowledge and the ability to suggest items that meet customer needs.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends and peak‑season periods.
• Attention to detail, especially in cash handling and inventory accuracy.
• Commitment to store security, loss‑prevention policies and confidentiality of sales data.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating POS systems and handling cash transactions.
• Basic inventory tracking and reporting.
