Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team at Ekalenza Contracting & Building Co. based in Shuwaikh, Kuwait. The role is full‑time and on‑site, focusing on managing the company’s financial records and supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate financial statements, budgets and management reports.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing.
• Perform regular account reconciliations and maintain ledger integrity.
• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, tax requirements and auditing standards.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to senior leadership.
• Collaborate on financial planning and budgeting initiatives.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting or financial management experience, preferably in construction or contracting.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax compliance and audit processes.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent problem‑solving, organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Fluent English; Arabic knowledge is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience using ERP accounting systems.
