Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead our finance team in delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and optimizing accounting processes. The role combines hands‑on accounting work with mentorship and process improvement responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and year‑end close processes, preparing balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
• Review, approve and post complex journal entries; reconcile bank, intercompany and balance‑sheet accounts weekly.
• Support external audits, prepare working papers and act as primary contact for auditors.
• Assist with preparation and filing of local, state and corporate tax returns, including sales and payroll taxes.
• Monitor and enhance internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Mentor junior accountants, review their work and provide technical guidance.
• Automate manual tasks, update SOPs and drive efficiency improvements.
• Manage daily cash balances, forecast cash flows and optimize banking arrangements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a closely related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive corporate accounting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with an ERP system.
