Senior Advisor – IT Internal Audit

About the role

KPMG Kuwait is looking for a Senior Advisor to lead and execute IT internal audit, information security and cybersecurity engagements for a diverse set of clients. The role combines technical audit expertise with client relationship management to help organisations align technology with their strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assess how technology contributes to organisational goals and identify related risks.
• Lead and deliver IT risk engagements, including IT audits, cybersecurity audits, SWIFT CSF assessments and information‑security risk assessments.
• Manage client expectations and maintain strong relationships throughout the audit lifecycle.
• Evaluate the sufficiency and reliability of audit evidence and determine appropriate findings.
• Analyse root causes, formulate recommendations and prepare final audit reports for senior management or board committees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline).
• 4‑6 years of consulting or audit experience, preferably within a Big 4 firm.
• Demonstrated experience in IT auditing and consulting.
• Relevant certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, CEH, ISO 27001 or ISO 23301 are desirable.

Required skills

• IT audit and cybersecurity audit methodologies.
• SWIFT CSF assessment techniques.
• Information‑security risk assessment frameworks.
• Knowledge of standards such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS and SWIFT CSF.
• Advanced MS PowerPoint for reporting and presentation.
