Senior Auditor - Audit & Assurance

About the role

BDO Kuwait is seeking a Senior Auditor to join its Audit & Assurance team. The role involves managing audit engagements, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering strategic insights to clients. You will work closely with clients and lead audit teams to enhance financial practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Perform risk assessments and develop audit plans addressing key business risks and regulatory requirements.
• Review financial statements, accounting records, and systems for compliance with standards.
• Provide actionable recommendations to improve internal controls and business efficiency.
• Supervise and mentor junior auditors, supporting their professional development.
• Collaborate with clients to resolve audit-related issues and build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
• 5‑7 years of audit and assurance experience, preferably in a public accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Proven leadership ability with experience mentoring junior staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency in audit software.
• Advanced use of MS Office Suite.
