Senior Risk Manager

About the role

Tabby, the leading GCC shopping and payments platform, is launching its operations in Kuwait and needs a hands‑on Senior Risk Manager. You will be responsible for building the risk framework that supports both enterprise and credit risk as the business scales.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain Tabby’s local risk management framework, aligning with Group standards and Kuwaiti regulations.
• Develop the risk strategy, appetite statement, policies, limits, governance forums and reporting for launch and ongoing operations.
• Own the enterprise risk process, including risk identification, assessment, register maintenance, KRIs, emerging‑risk reviews and remediation tracking.
• Provide independent risk challenges on new products, partnerships, customer journeys and operating models.
• Lead credit risk oversight across the customer lifecycle – underwriting, eligibility, limits, affordability, collections and portfolio quality.
• Collaborate with Group Risk and Product teams to calibrate credit strategies and assess model or policy changes.
• Establish early‑warning indicators, thresholds and reporting to enable timely risk decisions.
• Prepare risk assessments, reports and recommendations for local leadership, risk committees, the Board and regulators.
• Support licensing activities, regulatory submissions and examinations in partnership with Compliance.

Required profile

• Hands‑on senior professional with proven experience in enterprise and credit risk management.
• Strong understanding of local regulatory expectations and ability to translate them into policies and controls.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to interact with leadership, risk committees and regulators.
• Track record of establishing risk governance, appetite statements and reporting frameworks.
